Bata Company sold its goods in own shop in the country in the 1930s. In the 1970s, the firm owned a sister company.
- In 1933, Bata sold its goods, in the then French Sudanese, in a single store – Bamako; this shop was still in operation in 1938
- In 1978, the Bata organisation owned the company Bata S. A. Malienne
