The Bata Company has been active in the Zambia since the 1960s and it continues to operate there today.
- Around 1963, the business of Bata´s organization started to developed (manufacturing, trade)
- In 1978, the sister company Zambia Bata Shoe Co. Limited operated in the country.
- In 1992 in Zambia, Bata´s organization operated the following:
- Zambia Bata, Lusaka
- Branch Tannery, Kafue
- Amaz Limited, Lusaka
