Bata´s presence in Turkey can be confirmed due to territorial changes – along with the annexation of Hatay Province; it was a part of French mandate of Syria until 1938, when it was annexed to the Turkish state in 1939. In this province, Bata store operated in the city of Alexandretta (now İskenderun)
