The first Bata shop in Cyprus opened in 1932, other stores followed and in 1939 the retail network grew to 8 outlets. Bata´s business continued to thrive throughout the next decades.

The backbone of the firm enterprising on the island in following decades was company Bata Cyprus, Nicosia (in 1978, 1992)
